Fiddler on the Roof, SUNRISE, SUNSET

Fiddler on the Roof is a really cool musical. Sunrise, Sunset is a touching tribute to the love of these two people. Motel, Tzeitel’s love, is a tailor by trade, who realizes that “even a poor tailor deserves some happiness.” This from one of my favorite musicals. the celebration of the wedding of his first daughter. Tevye eventually accepts his daughter’s Tzeitel wish to marry, in spite of Tevye’s wish she marry the well-to-do butcher. Good for Tzeitel who chose happiness over money.

“I don’t remember growing older,” the song tells us. This is a beautiful song about change and how we accept change in our everyday lives. Change is inevitable. John Presta.
