HI EVERYBODY – – – We have a busy week ahead. Wednesday evening we’ll be in our usual spot at Cafe Luna 1742 W. 99th Street, 7:30 – 10 pm, for a weekly jam where we welcome friends from the Chicagoland musical community to share our presentation. Each of these sessions is lively and each is different. Please plan to join us for free classic jazz. . . . On May 3rd this Thursday evening, we’ll be at Lexington House in Hickory Hills where several hundred will gather to pay tribute to Fr. Dan Mallette on the 50th anniversary of his ordination. Tickets are $125 as this is a benefit for St. Margaret’s of Scotland parish and school. . . . We also wish to alert you to an event on Saturday May 5 from 4 to 7 pm at Gallery Guichard, 3521 S. King Drive in Chicago. Music will be provided by our good friend, vocalist Jeanne Franks, who also hosts a Sunday evening jazz program at WDCB, fm 90.9. This is a benefit for South Side Youth; tickets are $30. Then next Monday evening we’ll be playing for a reception following a golf outing hosted by another good friend of our band, Jerry Macellaio, at the George Dunne golf course. . . . . Please keep us in mind for your upcoming events. Live music converts any gathering into a festival. Contact us through our website or speak to any of our members, Eric Williams, George White, James Seaberry, Steve Thomas.
