Beverly Branch Library Appearance

The Beverly Branch Library, located at 2121 W. 95th Street, will welcome L. Curt Erler, author of the Southside Kid, on Saturday, April 28 at 11:00 am. Mr. Erler was born and raised on the Southside of Chicago, around 63rd & Stony Island. He is a retired marketing manager and lives in California with his Southside girl (St. Felicitas and Aquinas).

The Southside Kid’s narrator is the only non-Catholic attending a Catholic school. Young Curt was fortunate and clever enough to make the best of his rather trying circumstance. The author recalls his childhood growing up on the Southside during the 1950’s with plenty of baseball, matinees at the Avalon Theater and Friday night dances with the St. Felicitas Kids.
